After our client contact us about their double lot residence, our design team discussed big picture goals and then began a site assessment to determine the best options for the new structure. Our client hoped to establish driveway access to an existing garage at the rear corner of the property, and find an ideal orientation for a new-construction, 2-story home towards the front of the property.
This created an enclosed compound that provided an extended driveway space, and the added opportunity for the homeowner to exercise her green thumb with an extensive garden area and planter boxes. In terms of design, the homeowner asked us to help create a spacious feel with an open first-floor plan with 10′ ceilings on each floor.
